Kirk A. Felici, formerly sales manager in the Fort Lauderdale operation, was named regional manager of this office, which will initially include a staff of 20 investment specialists and 10 brokerage assistants. Felici, who joined the company in 1999, was also promoted to a senior investment associate.

"The stock and velocity here is better than in Broward and Palm Beach [counties] put together," he tells GlobeSt.com, adding, "we've had agents covering Dade, but it just wasn't efficient." Asked about specialties, he says, "obviously apartments--the two top words here are condo conversion. But retail and office have really grown, and I think the real sleeper is industrial. That's the contrarian play right now." He anticipates the office's sales force to grow to between 40 and 45 agents within the next year.

Meanwhile, Gene A. Berman, managing director and regional manager of Marcus & Millichap's Fort Lauderdale office, announced the promotion of three agents there to senior investment associate status. They are Gregory Celentano, who specializes in apartment investments; Tal Frydman, also an apartment investment specialist and an associate director of the company's national multihousing group, and Brandon Rex also an associate director of that group.
