Picha, formerly the director of marketing for Forest City Stapleton Inc., will manage the strategic direction and implementation of High Point's homebuilder marketing program. Stapleton is the largest infill development in the US near a major city.
Prior to joining Forest City, she served as a senior account manager for Barnhart/CMI, managing accounts for real estate developers and builders, technology, health care and travel and tourism. Picha also served in a similar role at Miles Advertising where she worked with local, regional and national builders and developers.
As director of development, Wyszynski will be responsible for supporting the Landmark/High Point team through all aspects of the development process. Wyszynski was introduced to Landmark Properties Group during the 2005 Rocky Mountain Real Estate Challenge where teams of graduate students in the real estate programs from the University of Denver and the University of Colorado were charged with creating a development plan for High Point's corporate/office park. Wyszynski led the University of Colorado team to victory.
Founded in 2003, Landmark Properties Group is headed by Ray Pittman. Before starting Landmark, Pittman was with Catellus. Prior to that, he ran the Denver office for CB Richard Ellis for several years.
Pittman says that High Point is an example of "smart growth." He says it will be sustainable community using the best practices of other large master-planned communities in Colorado, as well as from other states, such as Las Colinas outside of the Dallas Fort Worth Airport. High Point also is one of the biggest examples of metro cooperation in the Denver area. The land spans both Denver and Aurora. Rather than fight for which side gets the tax sales generating developments, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper and Aurora Mayor Ed Tauer, have agreed to share tax revenues. They hope their agreement can be a model not only for cooperation along the Front Range in Colorado, but also for the entire nation.
