The site reached maximum capacity with the assistance of the property's leasing brokers Andrew Smith and David Gillece of Colliers Pinkard, who just secured commitments for the last remaining 12,437 sf of space in the three-story, 60,000-sf building by signing on technology firm Invoke Systems UMBC's Erickson School of Aging and start-up firm Convergent Technologies. The team marketed space in the building for $23.50 per sf.
Located near Interstate 95 and Baltimore Washington International Airport, bwtech@UMBC is about seven miles outside of Baltimore. And its close proximity to the UMBC campus affords the occupants an added bonus; as Grosvenor senior vice president Andrew Galbraith explains, "Tenants benefit from close synergy with the University, enjoying access to UMBC's expertise, students, technology, programs, and facilities."
Grosvenor wrapped up development of 5523 Research Park less than a year ago; the structure is the third of five that will ultimately grace the park, which can accommodate as much as 330,000 sf of office and laboratory space.
