Throughout the next several years, eight additional Famous Dave's restaurants areplanned in Colorado. A Denver-based company called the Basic Food Group is bringing famous Dave's to Colorado. Bill Ferguson, who operates the AvenueGrill, two Great Northern Tavern restaurants and the food service for theMeadows and Foothills golf courses, as well as the Fillmore Auditorium, isthe founder of the Basic Food Group. He says he is a fan of Famous Dave's.
"Colorado has a plethora of impeccable independent restaurants, but as a state known for attracting out-of-towners, there is a great market for establishments that offer a taste of home," Ferguson says.
Famous Dave's of America Inc. develops, owns, operates and franchises barbeque restaurants. The company currently owns 38 locations and franchises 65 additional units in 24 states.
