The retail portion is actually being developed in two phases, according to Joe Morris, vice president of commercial leasing and marketing for M&M Realty Partners, Piscataway, NJ. M&M is allied with Turnberry Cherry Hill, the master developer of the 233-acre site.
Dick's will be part of Marketplace at Garden State Park, a 530,000-sf regional mall. The other phase is the 230,000-sf Towne Place at Garden State Park, a lifestyle center. At build-out the Garden State Park redevelopment will also consist of upwards of one million sf of office space. More than 1,650 luxury residential units and a 150-room hotel are also part of the mix, as is a 10-acre block of open space.
