Halter and TVS officials couldn't be reached by GlobeSt.com's deadline to learn why he left TVS, but area architectural sources in a position to know tell GlobeSt.com HOK made Halter an offer he couldn't refuse. "We were fortunate to find someone locally who matched our needs perfectly," Dan Cash, senior vice president and also a managing principal in HOK's Atlanta office, says in a statement. Among Halter's designs are BellSouth's corporate Campanile Building at 1155 Peachtree St. in Midtown; Summit Office Towers; St. Joseph's campus master plan; the under construction Turner Entertainment Office Building; and the New China International Exhibition Center in Beijing.

Halter is a commissioner on the Atlanta Urban Design Commission and a member of the Midtown Business Association, the American Institute of Architects and Urban Land Institute. He is a state-registered architect and is certified with the National Council of Architectural Registration Board. Halter holds a bachelor of science degree in architecture from Ohio State University and a master in architecture and urban design from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
