The new Outdoor Channel building, which is will house editing, production, engineering and support staff offices for the company's national television network, is at 43455 Business Park Dr., across from the company's corporate headquarters. The new building also will house the Outdoor Channel's new high-definition channel, Outdoor Channel 2 HD.
The new broadcast facility will include its own up-link satellite dish that will produce and transmit programming for the Outdoor Channel's East and West Coast feeds, as well as the high-definition signal for Outdoor Channel 2 HD. Approximately 50 employees of the Outdoor Channel will occupy the building.
The headquarters building at 43445 Business Park Dr. will continue to house about 80 employees, including the company's corporate staff, as well as sales, marketing, human resources and offices for other divisions. The space vacated by the channel will accommodate planned future growth.
The new facility was designed by Studio 440 Architecture and Acoustics in Hollywood. The broadcast and production technologies for the new studios were designed by Technical Innovation LLC of Atlanta.
The Outdoor Channel is a national television network that develops and broadcasts programming for a broad range of outdoor interests including fishing, hunting, shooting, off-road motor sports and other activities.
