Lonestar Hardscapes, a stone supplier for commercial and residential construction, is planning to build out the site with office/warehouse space, according to Cody Woodland with Thomson Realty Group in Dallas. He tells GlobeSt.com that Thomas James, owner of the local company, acquired the land in mid-February, carved out two acres with freeway frontage to build two small buildings for Lonestar Hardscapes and now wants to piecemeal sell the balance of the land. The plan is to divvy the land into eight 1.25-acre tracts for other commercial users.
Woodland says there have been several inquiries, but no contracts are in hand at this time. He adds that the dirt, on the market for $130,000 per acre, is situated in an area with 4,000 single-family homes on the drawing boards for the next three to five years.
