The new mortgage banking office at 2105 Park Ave. complements Wood's recently opened Tampa branch office at 1700 South MacDill Ave. Extending its presence in Central Florida will help the company better serve the nine correspondent insurance companies Wood represents in the area, says Thomas D. Wood Jr., the firm's president. Wood has correspondent relationships with 12 major life insurance companies. The company's servicing portfolio is valued at $1 million.
In Rozzell, Wood gets an industry professional with 20 years of commercial real estate finance experience. He comes to Wood from Chicago-based Cohen Financial where he was director of that firm's capital markets unit. Rozzell joined Cohen in 2000 to originate loans in the Tampa market. He also spent a total 15 years as a commercial lending officer with SouthTrust Bank, First Union Bank and Southeast Bank in Orlando.
Marshall comes to Wood from Midtown Realty of Orlando Inc. & Logical Funding Solutions LLC where she was a licensed real estate associate and mortgage broker. She previously worked as a branch manager and vice president at Mercantile Bank, formerly Citrus Bank, and SouthTrust Bank in Orlando. Marshall also worked at Shores & Co., Orlando, where she was director of marketing.
