BOSTON-A 31-story condominium tower will replace a 13-story parking garage at 45 Province St. Developed by Abby Partners, whose principals include the co-owners of the Boston Celtics, the 150-unit condo will be built on a quarter acre of land in a neighborhood that once housed the homes of Boston's elite, including several colonial governors.
The site is behind the Omni Parker House near old City Hall. Comprised of 25 floors of condominium units and a three-story restaurant, it will be built over nine floors of parking, some of which will be underground. It will be topped by a pool with an adjacent fitness center and a rooftop terrace.
Located within walking distance of Downtown Crossing, Faneuil Hall and the Boston Commons, the project, which is set to be completed by the fall of 2008, is being designed by architects Bruner/Cott of Cambridge.
