"They're not going to change the structure or anything, they're just going to put a new roof on it and make some minor interior renovations," says Gary Gruskowski, vice president of the industrial division at Insite Commercial Group's Detroit office. Gruskowski represented the seller, Century Chevrolet, in the transaction, while the buyer was self-represented.

The property, originally listed for $795,000, was on the market for approximately one year and attracted one additional offer that "never came together," Gruskowski says.

In addition to housing a Chevrolet dealer, Gruskowski tells GlobeSt.com that the property, at 12101 Joseph Campau St. is also the location for an Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The rental company, which is located in a small portion of the space, has four years remaining on its lease. "The building was originally constructed in the 1960s and underwent renovation during the 1980s," he adds. Renovation and move-in dates could not be obtained by press time.
