CHEVY CHASE, MD-The Washington, DC- and Baltimore-area markets could soon become home to a series of new Greenberry's Coffee & Tea stores. The MHG Group, master franchisee of the Charlottesville, VA-based company, has selected Chevy Chase, MD's JGB Rosenfeld Retail to head up the search for new locales. JBG is charged with securing as many as 50 new Greenberry's locations of about 1,600 sf each over the next eight years.
According to MHG officials, JBG won the job because of its numerous real estate contacts and because the retail property leasing and development company has its own sizeable portfolio of shopping centers. "We were attracted to the synergy of a one-stop shop," says Stephen Gayula, MHG Group president.
The spaces JBG is seeking will feature room for outdoor seating at mini-malls and mixed-use sites. There are currently six Greenberry's stores; three in Virginia and three others in North Carolina, Florida and Houston.
