The French 75 Bistro will be part of 14,600 sf of retail and 304 apartment units, with the first phase of 33 apartments scheduled for occupancy this fall.
The development site is at 621 E. Colorado Blvd.
The luxury apartment and retail complex occupies a full city block on 3.4 acres in Pasadena's Playhouse District. Aliso Viejo-based Shea is developing the infill site in a joint venture with San Francisco-based Capital & Counties USA. Inc. Shea will manage Trio through its internal management division.
W. William Gaboury, president and CEO of Shea, notes that Trio will feature 17 floor plans including studio, one and two-bedroom and mezzanine loft units in elevator-served buildings of four and five stories. Amenities will include a clubhouse and entertainment center, a screening room and movie theater, a pool and a spa, a fitness center, a business center, a conference room and interior courtyards with fountains and garden-style landscaping.
Trio joins a number of projects that are being developed in and around the revitalized core of Pasadena, where city officials and developers have been focusing on mixed-use, live-work developments that are close to shopping, dining, entertainment and transportation.
