DALLAS-Hillwood has added an executive vice president to evaluate and develop strategic relationships in capital market circles.

Robert T. Vicente, previously CFO for TVO North America in El Paso, will work with long-time Hillwood exec, Tom Mason, and report to CFO James Swaim. "We want to make sure our financial side matches our real estate," Swaim tells GlobeSt.com, emphasizing the newly created position is a strategic initiative on Hillwood's behalf.

Vicente relocated from El Paso, where he also did a stint with EPT Management Co., a privately held company focused on multifamily properties. Vicente's background includes vice president of the New York City-based Security Capital Group, an international investment company where he focused on capital market transactions, mergers and acquisitions and treasury operations.

Swaim says Hillwood "never had any one individual" working the capital markets circuit until Vicente was hired. The new executive vice president is marking his second week on the job.
