RealShare Orange County is one of two events in the conference series that are scheduled for this week in Southern California. The other is NetLease West, scheduled for Friday in Los Angeles.

The Orange County event will begin with introductory remarks at 8:10 a.m. by Michael Desiato, group managing director for Real Estate Media Inc., which produces the RealShare series and also is the publisher of GlobeSt.com, Real Estate Southern California magazine and Real Estate Forum magazine. The first session of the conference is titled "The Facts and Figures Behind the Orange County Investment Market," which will set the tone for what Kelley describes as a RealShare OC conference that "has drawn interest not just locally but nationally because of the strength of the Orange County market."

Desiato also will interview Rob Maguire of Maguire Properties in the latest installment of the "Inside the Real Estate Mind" interviews that have become a staple of the RealShare events. Maguire will discuss the Los Angeles-based REIT's recent round of acquisitions in Orange County, along with a wide range of other topics.

Maguire will be one of a host of top industry executives who will appear at the event, including Orange County-based Bill Hughes, who heads Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp. and will provide look at real estate investment and capital markets for the US and Orange County. Other speakers and panels will tackle topics ranging from the economic and demographic forces shaping the county's real estate markets to the outlook for the county's office market to the tenant-in-common sector in the county.

"Orange County is obviously one of the strongest markets you can find, both from the standpoint of fundamentals and in terms of investor interest," Kelley points out. "The Orange County conference is one of the most compelling events in our series, and it's drawing people not just from Orange County but regionally and nationally as well."

The conference will include a networking luncheon and focus group roundtables on a broad spectrum of topics, including tenant-in-common deals, multifamily investment and development, risk mitigation, brokerage trends and other topics.
