Scientific American has called 415 Madison home for the past 50 years. The magazine, which occupies nearly two and a half floors, inked a 10-year renewal. Space in the site is advertised at $44 per sf.
Bedford has two full floors and a portion of the basement at 41 Madison. The company, which has been a tenant in the building since 1982, has signed on for another 10 years. Space in the site is advertised at $38 per sf. "Madison Avenue continues to be an ideal location for high-profile publishing companies," Freedman says.
Holtzbrinck Publishers is the US operations of the German publishing company, Verlagsgruppe Georg von Holtzbrinck Gmbh. It includes book companies such as St. Martin's Press, Tor, Henry Holt, Picador and Farrar, Straus & Giroux.
