So far, none of the handful of developers who were polled is claiming title to the land, which triggered a bidding war in $5,000 and $10,000 increments. "There was great enthusiasm in the market for these two pieces," Good tells GlobeSt.com about sites at the intersection of Mayhill Road and I-35 and Edwards Road.

The parcels, auctioned separately, brought significantly more than anticipated with 12 bidders trying to score the win. "They were two very spirited bid calls," Good says.

A 22.91-acre tract tagged with a $200,000 minimum sold for $852,500. Bidding on a 5.27-acre parcel began at $50,000 and ended at $302,500. The properties represent the last holdings in Texas for the Andrew Corp., which began to piecemeal sell its Denton properties about two years ago.
