STOUGHTON, MA-Kiva Systems, a division of Karas and Karas Glass Co., will expand from 25,020 sf to 45,000 sf at 1053 Turnpike St. The company signed a four-and-a-third-year lease.
"They are taking on a new product line and needed additional space and we were able to accommodate them," Peter Benke, with NAI Hunneman Commercial, tells GlobeSt.com. He notes that the glass fabricating firm will move into space formerly occupied by another tenant, Empire Today, a floor covering firm that relocated to another area in the 102,000-sf, one-story building.
Terms of the lease were not disclosed but Benke says similar space in the Stoughton area rents in the $5.50 to $6 per sf range. Benke handled the transaction for the owner, CD-SP Realty Trust. The tenant, an occupant of the building for the past five years, was self-represented.
