Residential condominiums could also be part of the plan at a later date, area marketers who have worked with Sembler projects in the past tell GlobeSt.com.

The 88-acre development site along Jonesboro Road is across the street from the 744,244-sf Henry Town Center. Home Depot, Target and BJs anchor that center. Sembler's 88-acre site already houses a Best Buy and is scheduled to have a Dick's sporting goods store by June and a Starbucks coffee location later, area brokers familiar with the developer's plans tell GlobeSt.com. The joint venture is also negotiating with a name anchor for the project, according to area brokers.

The Sembler-Jones project comes as elected officials in Henry County prepare to vote Nov. 21 on still another retail project. Cincinnati-based North American Properties Inc. has submitted plans for South Point Mall, an estimated $100-million, 570,000-sf shopping center near GA 20 and GA 81 on the west side of Interstate 75.
