BILLERICA, MA-California-based Harman Specialty Group, a maker of sound systems, has signed on to take space in a 30,000 sf build-to-suit warehouse and distribution building in the Middlesex Technology Center. The seven-year lease with locally-based developer the Gutierrez Cos. will expand the audio manufacturer's presence in the Boston market.
John T. Kerrigan, Jr., executive vice president with Grubb and Ellis' Boston office, tells GlobeSt.com that the company will move into the 900 Middlesex Turnpike building early next year once construction on the multi-million dollar facility is completed. "They wanted to stay in the area and were able to find the land, the developer and the price that worked," Kerrigan notes. Terms of that agreement were not available.
Kerrigan along with Stephen R. Cook and Christopher L. Gorgone, Jr., both also with Grubb & Ellis, represented the tenant. The owner was self represented.
