NOVI, MI-As part of its expansion plan, Lee & Associates of Michigan has relocated from a 1,200-sf temporary office in Southfield to a 3,000-sf office at the Pinnacle Office Centre. The company is also establishing a 1,400-sf office in Brighton.

More locations throughout the area are planned, though dates for future openings have not yet been determined. The locations, at 41800 W. Eleven Mile Rd. here and 8571 W. Grand River in Brighton, are due to quick growth for the full-service commercial real estate firm, which opened in the area during the spring with two people.

According to Jon Savoy, president of Lee & Associates of Michigan, the company now employs nine people, with plans to hire more as the need arises. "We needed more space," he tells GlobeSt.com, explaining the reason for the relocation and expansion. He adds that both leases allow for expansion as the company continues to grow.

The Novi location, Savoy continues, is ideally located at the intersection of Interstate 275 and I-96 meaning "you can get anywhere in Oakland County, Western Wayne and Down River in 20 minutes." The Brighton office, he says, was established so the company to handle deals and transactions in Livingston County, with area experts Kevin Brady and Brandon Podolski, formerly with Grubb & Ellis, heading op the office.

Despite a soft economy and somewhat slow growth on the real estate end, Savoy is optimistic about prospects in the area. "While we're moving out manufacturing jobs, we've been attractive to the R&D sector," Savoy notes. "We're seeing a good amount of activity from the non-automotive companies in Michigan."
