WOBURN-A Compton, CA-based auto parts firm has opened its first East Coast location. Silla Cooling System Inc. signed a five-year lease for 5,000 sf of distribution and warehouse space at Cummings Park.
Silla, which opened its 33rd location with the move, inked the deal with after working under a tight deadline to find space for the venture, Tyler Ewing, with Grubb & Ellis, tells GlobeSt.com. "They were on a pretty tight time frame to get into space and all the other locations we looked at had limitations on the timing,"Ewing notes. "One of the things that was beneficial was that Cummings Properties could react quickly and supply the space they needed."
Terms of the lease were not disclosed. The Compton, CA auto parts company will use the space in the 141,989-sf building at 64 Cummings Park for a distribution point to increase storage capacity and reduce shipping time. Ewing handled the lease negotiations for the tenant while Derek Cook, Cummings Properties' leasing director, handled the transaction for the building's owner.
