PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, MI-Detroit-based RMCH Investment Co., doing business under the name Ramchargers Automotive Centers, has sold its 36,760-sf main distribution center to a local investor/entrepreneur for $2.05 million.
According to Rob Hughes of Colliers International's Southfield office, Ramchargers, which has ceased operations in the Detroit area, is selling off its assets and properties, of which the distribution center was one.
The 1989-built property, which was originally listed at an asking sales price of $2.28 million, is located at 9030 General Dr. Part of the property, totaling approximately 9,600 sf, is currently leased. Ramchargers Automotive Centers provide parts and accessories for automobiles.
"This was on the market for about 60 days and with the first best offer, we took the deal," says Hughes, who represented the seller in the transaction. Colliers colleague Andrew Stylianou represented the buyer, who will likely use the property for his business.
Hughes tells GlobeSt.com that, the company has three remaining assets in the area for sale; a 4,500-sf warehouse/distribution property at 4764 Dixie Hwy. in Waterford; 9,800-sf of warehouse space at 36564 Plymouth Rd. in Livonia; and an 8,100-sf industrial warehouse at 12480 Allen Rd. in Taylor. The properties are available separately, or as a portfolio.
