WALTHAM, MA-Rhytec Inc. will relocate its corporate headquarters into 32,000 sf of office, warehouse and distribution space at Stony Brook Office Park here. The move will increase the company's size nearly sixfold.
David Boyle, with Trammell Crow Co.'s Boston office, tells GlobeSt.com that the company, which develops technologies for the dermatological, plastic and cosmetic surgery markets, opted to add a warehouse and distribution center to its operation which contributed to the growth and prompted the firm to look for a new location. The company occupies about 4,500 sf at its current headquarters at 1000 Winter St. in the Bay Colony Corporate Park.
"They were able to get a class A office component complemented and supplemented by a warehouse-and-distribution component along with a very aggressive rate" at 130 Turner St., Boyle says. Terms of the five-year lease were not disclosed but he says rents in the park, which is about 80% leased, average in the low to mid $20s per sf.
Boyle, along with John Boyle, also with Trammell Crow, handled the transaction for the tenant. Alex Dauria and Jay Nugent, both with Spaulding & Slye, represented the owner RP/Saracen Properties.
