"This is just the first step in the execution of our plans for an exciting new Rosemont Entertainment District, which promises great times for business and leisure visitors and their families from morning to night," says Rosemont Mayor Donald E. Stephens. He hopes to land other entertainment operations to the new district.
In addition to reclining 24-inch-wide seats, six inches wider than the standard movie house seat, Muvico Theaters builds venues that feature wall-to-wall curved screens, as well as concession stands that prepare fresh hot meals. Now operating 233 screens in 12 locations in Florida, Maryland and Tennessee, Muvico Theaters has another 118 screens in the works for sites across the Eastern US. Company officials were unavailable to provide specifics about the Rosemont project.
