James Elcock, executive vice president with Meredith & Grew's Boston office tells GlobeSt.com that the parcel attracted four offers from bidders who wanted the land for retail, industrial, residential and personal uses. For previous coverage, click here.
Elcock says it is unclear what the new owner will do with the property, which is located off Exit 19 on Route 128, with frontage on Brimbal Avenue, Sohier Road and the highway off-ramp. The property is not currently permitted for development, he says. "Currently, they are strongly considering a retail development lifestyle center, but with no permits in place, they continue to consider all options given its location and access." Elcock along with Patrick J. Paladino, Jr. and Kerrin C. Driscoll, all with Meredith & Grew, marketed the property for the Archdiocese and also procured the buyer.
