GVA Thompson Doyle Hennessey & Stevens' Peter Bean tells GlobeSt.com that the firm, which was previously located at 37 Newbury St., signed a lease that runs through 2013 with sublandlord Boston Life Sciences. He adds that the firm looked for a new home after receiving a lease renewal notice that was above-market rents for the area. The firm gained more than 1,200 sf with the relocation.
"The space was more open with higher ceilings and skylights," says Bean, who represented the architectural firm. Gregg Jordan, a principal with Gregg Jordan & Associates, handled the arrangement for Boston Life Sciences. The five-story building, which is fully leased at rates averaging about $33.50 per sf, counts among its tenants Georgio Armani, which occupies the first three floors of the building.
