Brad Fricks, now into his second week on the job, was named senior vice president for Equis' Texas operations in Houston, Austin and Dallas. Fricks, who is based in Houston, says brokers will be added this year in all three metros. The Dallas office is the largest with 11 professionals working the terrain while Houston has eight and Austin, just one.
Fricks tells GlobeSt.com that he doesn't foresee any organizational changes at this stage of the office reviews. "I think I can assist them, but I'm not going to tell them how to do their business," he says. "I built a team at Equity that was successful and through my experience and leadership I think I can do the same thing here."
Fricks says the going-forward plan is to "leverage" his contacts with building owners that he built up during his long-time stint with the Chicago-based EOP. The former vice president of leasing oversaw a 34-building, 11.6-million-sf office portfolio in Texas and Louisiana for EOP.
"Brad's perspective on Texas real estate markets and his focus on building strong relations with corporate clients will be valuable assets to Equis as we seek to expand our market share in the state," Michael Sheinkop, Equis' executive vice president, says in a press release.
