Gerlich, based in Frankfurt, joins Rockpoint from GE Commercial Finance Real Estate where, as managing director in Germany, he was responsible for growing GE's investment in German real estate through corporate and portfolio acquisitions. Before joining GE, Gerlich was managing director of Lend Lease Real Estate Investments in Germany. He has more than 10 years experience as a principal investor originating, leading and executing corporate, portfolio and asset-level real estate investment and development transactions in Germany, Europe and the Americas and has been involved in more than $1 billion of residential, office, retail, logistics, and healthcare real estate investment deals.
Lewis also has a decade of property experience, his in the United Kingdom. Before joining Rockpoint he worked for Moorfield, where he specialized in acquisition analysis, asset management and development. His main clients were Carisbrooke Investments and JC Rathbone Associates, where he provided real estate structured finance and financial risk management. The Frankfurt and London offices opened in January 2006.
