"Once they made the decision, they didn't want any down time," says Kirby White, leasing director for Crescent Real Estate Equities Co. "They were really challenged to be able to deliver something that normally happens over a couple months in a couple weeks." He tells GlobeSt.com that the 14,030-sf floor in the 1.2-million-sf high rise at 1445 Ross Ave. was one of five locations under consideration.
The 48th-floor office was vacated in early 2005 when the Stinnett Thiebaud & Remington law firm expanded and relocated within the now 94%-leased, 60-story trophy. The building's quoted rent ranges from $23.50 per sf to $26.50 per sf plus electric.
White says the new law firm's first office required just minor touch-ups. Gruber Hurst Johansen & Hail were represented by Jeff Staubach and Brad Selner with locally based Staubach Co. "When they presented Fountain Place to us, we new we had found our new home," Michael Gruber, managing partner, says in a press release, citing the "expedited" process to get the deal done so the firm could launch Jan. 1.
