MIAMI-Plantation-based DHL has expanded its significant South Florida presence by inking a long-term lease for all of the 177,000-sf distribution facility at 6701 NW Seventh St. in Blue Lagoon Business Park. The building will accommodate the global courier and logistics company's Air & Sea division.

The aggregate value of the lease is $7 million, George Pino of Coral Gables-based Codina Realty Services tells GlobeSt.com. Codina was recently acquired by Florida East Coast Industries. In this transaction, Pino represented the park's owner, San Francisco-based AMB Properties. "This is one of the largest industrial deals in the Airport West submarket this year. The entire 450,000-sf park is now 100% leased," he says.

Scott Sime in the Miami office of CB Richard Ellis and Ned Burns of the CBRE office in Stamford, CT represented DHL. This June, another DHL division, Worldwide Express, doubled its space in a lease for 102,000 sf in Building 26, also owned by AMB, in the 205-acre Beacon Centre Business Park. It is also in the Airport West submarket.
