Barganski, who most recently was with C.J. Segerstrom & Sons in Orange County, will report to Bill Tresham, Trizec's EVP and COO, in a new regional structure for Trizec which adds Southern California to its three other regions. The others are the eastern, central and southwest regions.

Trizec continues its search for a regional head of the Southern California Region, to whom both Barganski and Patrick Lacey, Trizec's VP and general manager-operations, will eventually report. The management moves are designed in part to accommodate the dramatic growth in Trizec's Southern California holdings, which will nearly double in size to a total of 18 properties comprising more than 8.6 million sf of office space with the acquisition of the Arden properties.

Barganski oversaw leasing and marketing of the two-million-sf Offices of South Coast Plaza for Segerstrom over the past six years. His career also has included positions as partner and VP of leasing with PacTen Partners in Los Angeles, director of agency leasing with Cushman & Wakefield in Los Angeles, VP of marketing and leasing with Premisys in Los Angeles and leasing director for Citicorp Plaza & 777 Tower in Los Angeles.

Trizec's acquisition of the 13 Arden properties is part of a deal in which the GE Real Estate unit of GE Commercial Finance has agreed to acquire Arden for $45.25 per share. Trizec has agreed to pay $1.63 billion for the 4.1 million sf that it will acquire.
