SAN JACINTO, CA-DBN Development of Laguna Hills plans a market-rate seniors apartment complex as part of a mixed-use project that will include medical office buildings on a 22-acre site. The new development, called Parkside San Jacinto, will comprise approximately 240 seniors units along with 75,000 sf of medical office space.
Steve Delson, president of DBN, reports that the complex occupy a site adjacent to Valley-Wide Regional Park at the corner of Palm and Esplanade avenues. He describes the apartments as "a highly amenitized rental project for active residents" age 55 and older.
DBN expects to break ground on Parkside San Jacinto in spring 2007, with financing arranged by Karen McGuire in the Irvine office of Marshall BankFirst. The leasing agent for the medical offices is Jeff Ottman of Grubb & Ellis.
DBN plans to improve Esplanade Avenue across the project frontage, build an extension of Palm Avenue and improve access for the western entrance of Valley-Wide Park. The Palm Avenue extension will bridge a gap in the city's highway system, completing a north-south link from 7th Street south into Hemet.
The development parcel is DBN's third property acquisition in San Jacinto within the past 12 months. Delson says that the medical offices will be designed to help meet the growing demand for health care services in light of the city's rapid growth.
