CITY OF COMMERCE, CA-Furniture maker Max-Win International has signed a five-year, $3.7-million lease for 139,857 sf of warehouse space at the Ford Distribution Center in a relocation from elsewhere in the city, according to CB Richard Ellis. The company will occupy a freestanding building in the 850,000-sf Ford Distribution Center at 5500 E. Slauson Ave. after moving from 7101 E. Slauson.
Brian McLoughlin of CBRE's Commerce office reports that Max-Win's relocation required only 30 days, including location search, lease negotiation and tenant improvement build-out. McLoughlin and David Fults, also of CBRE's Commerce office, represented Max-Win in the lease with AMB Property Corp., which was represented by Dave Hess of Trammell Crow Co.
Locally based Max-Win, established in 1994, specializes in manufacturing, importing, exporting, and distribution of furniture and related products. The company has manufacturing plants in Taichung, Taiwan and Guangzhou, China.
