The buyer, Rose Properties Southwest LLC, formed by Goodyear investor Jack Rose, is planning to build out the site with retail, office condos and high-density residential development. The land is located at the southeast corner of Dysart and Camelback roads. Specific plans, budgets and a groundbreaking date have yet to be set, says Paul Holland, vice president of Colliers International Inc.'s retail team in Phoenix.
"Retail could take up approximately five to seven acres on that corner," adds Holland, who with colleague Stephanie Davis, represented SunCor in the transaction. The brokers will team with WinStar Properties LLC of Phoenix to market the property.
Holland tells GlobeSt.com that the property, which had been on the market for two to three months, attracted multiple offers. He says it was Rose's track record with his other area holdings that won the deal. According to Holland, Rose, represented by WinStar's Michael Lazar, continues to seek additional commercial lots and multifamily sites throughout the area, especially in Goodyear.
