Nordblom Corfac International vice president Peter Tilden, who along with colleague David Gilkie, negotiated the sale between the buyer and seller Brophy Randolph LLC, tells GlobeSt.com that the property offered the firm both a new headquarters location and an investment. The buyer's affiliate, Unishippers Inc., a company that provides shipping services, will move from its present 6,000-sf office in Norton into 9,500 sf on the third floor of the five-story building in April.
Tilden says the freestanding building was not on the market when he approached the former owner to see if a sale could be arranged. The building is more than 50% occupied under long-term leases by tenants that include HarborOne Credit Union and Old Colony Hospice.
