Herbalife was represented by Staubach's Mike McRoskey, Alan Aufhammer, Tony Morales and Frank Scott. Legacy Partners was represented by Craig Meyer and Steve Solomon of Trammell Crow.

The deal gives Herbalife building-top signs facing the 405 and 110 freeways. Herbalife, which continues to maintain its corporate headquarters in Century City, is scheduled to move the Americas group into the new space in August from existing facilities elsewhere in L.A.

McRoskey says the move to new quarters is one of a number of changes at Herbalife since the company went public last year. "Herbalife needed its real estate strategy to stay in step with the company's expansion plans and the evolution of its global brand," he says.

In addition to Los Angeles area facilities, Herbalife maintains offices in Dallas and Memphis. The company's president and COO, Greg Probert, notes that the new space will include a fitness facility, a cafeteria and other amenities.
