Lindsay Allen, associate with Grubb & Ellis Co., tells GlobeSt.com that Interface's 8,800-sf space in Lincoln CentrePort I at 14500 Trinity Blvd. will sport both companies' signs because the renamed Hawk Security Systems is the familiar name around town. The flex office deal fills space occupied awhile ago by Brinks Home Security Inc.
Hawk is shifting from 5759 SW Green Oaks Blvd. in Arlington. Allen says the acquired operation will double in size with the move, timed to coincide with a lease expiration. Grubb & Ellis' latest market report puts the going rate for flex office space at $7.87 per sf in the DFW Airport submarket.
Interface Security's lease includes expansion rights--if not in the 64,921-sf Trinity Boulevard building then in another Lincoln Property-owned or managed structure, according to Allen. "They are going to grow," she says.
Allen and Tom Clarke, senior vice president in Dallas for Grubb & Ellis Co., represented Interface Security Systems. Michael Peinado with Lincoln Property Co. negotiated for the owner, Lincoln Champion Investors LP of Wichita, KS.
