Halford tells GlobeSt.com that he can't yet disclose what he'll be doing but says that he will be remaining in Southern California and that he will be involved in real estate development in the region. "I let them [the Irvine Co.] know that I was going to leave, and we worked out the terms under which I would leave, including an agreement that I would not announce where I am going immediately," Halford says.
Halford began his commercial real estate career in 1986 at Transpacific Development Co., based in Torrance, where he spent seven years before joining the Irvine Co. As president of the office properties division, he was one of a group of division presidents overseeing the office, apartment, retail, resort and land sale divisions of the company within the Investment Properties Group.
