Wayne B. Goldberg, president and CEO for LQ Management, has accorded eight executive vice president titles: Angelo Lombardi, who also was named COO; Murry Cathlina, overseeing design and construction; Mark Chloupek, legal and general counsel; Sandy Heilman, marketing; Feliz Jarvis, sales; Jeff Schagren, human resources and corporate counsel; Rajiv Trivedi, franchising; and Temple Weiss, acquisitions and development. The newly named vice presidents are Steve Flowers, finance and treasury; Jim Mitchell, business solutions; and Irene Primera, accounting and controller.
In a press release, Goldberg says the executive team "will take La Quinta to a new level of success as we invest in our properties."
The changes also put Alan R. Tallis, who shares the top executive duties with Goldberg as head of LQ Management, into the president's role for La Quinta Franchising LLC and Baymont Franchising. In other promotions, divisional vice presidents are David Wilner in the West and Steve Wilson, East. Jeff Palla is made vice president of franchise services and Oliver Evancho, vice president of franchise administration.
"We will continue to manage and service our existing franchise properties as well as grow the program by awarding franchises to quality developers and operators," Tallis says. "The La Quinta tradition of franchising will continue." The locally based hotel company's portfolio has more than 600 hotels in 39 states and Canada as corporate-owned properties, management contracts or franchises.
