Elias T. Demakes with Meredith & Grew's brokerage group in Boston tells GlobeSt.com that Exotic Foods LLC will move its headquarters into the facility early next month, boosting occupancy at the 30,500-sf building to about 70%. "It was a good location for them right off Route 128 and had exactly what they were looking for," Demakes says. "The space they needed requires very little work so it was a smooth transition for them."
The leased site, formerly the home of Asia Foods, will almost double the space Exotic Foods currently has at its headquarters in Hudson, NH, Demakes says. Terms of the lease were not disclosed, but Demakes says rates for the building range from $6 per sf to $10 per sf, triple net.
The tenant's representatives were Demakes and Christopher E. Lawrence, also with Meredith & Grew. The building's owner, Berman Co. of Boston, was represented by Roger Berman.
