MORENO VALLEY, CA-Private buyers based in Los Angeles have acquired the 112,334-sf Samantha Marketplace shopping center from a Los Angeles-based seller for $17 million, according to Sperry Van Ness. Fouy Ly of Sperry Van Ness reports that TS Marketplace LLC bought the property, which is at 12190-12200 Perris Blvd., from Samantha Marketplace LLC.
The shopping center, which was built in 1989, is near the 60 and 215 freeways and was 100% occupied at the time of the sale. Ly, who is based in the Irvine office of Sperry Van Ness, represented both the buyer and the seller.
The center is anchored by Food 4 Less, Kragen Auto Parts and Starbucks. Other tenants include Rite Aid, Subway, UPS and Wells Fargo.
The retail deal was one of two closed recently in the Inland Empire by Sperry Van Ness, which also brokered a deal in which a child care center in Murrieta traded for $4.27 million. The property is an 11,300-sf facility at 26624 Margarita Rd. that is occupied by a company called Tutor Time.
Brad Umansky of Sperry Van Ness in Ontario represented the seller, Glendale-based Murrieta Preschool LP. Jeff Buck of Buck Shepard Associates represented the buyer, a Murrieta-based private investor. The freestanding building was completed in 2004.
