Figueroa Courtyard is a five-building low-rise office project at 221-281 S. Figueroa St. OneLegacy serves 220 hospitals and 14 transplant centers in the seven Southern California counties.
The Figueroa Courtyard lease joins a host of new office deals reported in Los Angeles County by brokerages lately, including an $8.5-million, 10-year lease renewal for securities brokerage and asset manager ML Stern & Co. LLC at 8350 Wilshire Blvd. Madison Partners principal Mitch Stokes represented the landlord, North American Realty, a subsidiary of Pacific Life Insurance Co.
ML Stern's deal is for 27,000 sf at 8350 Wilshire Blvd., where it occupies 90% of the building. The tenant was represented by Mike Catalano of Studley.
The third deal was a 5,000-sf expansion by Barrington Associates at the company's corporate headquarters at 11755 Wilshire Blvd. in the Brentwood section of West Los Angeles. The private investment-banking firm signed a 15,223-sf lease valued at more than $3 million.
Bruce Schuman of Studley and Carol Meade of Trammell Crow represented Barrington Associates, with Kevin O'Connor of CB Richard Ellis Investors representing the landlord, California State Teachers Retirement System. Jim Freedman, managing director of Barrington Associates, says that the company has grown substantially over the past year and has recruited several new professionals.
