The chief executive title has been passed on to Dudley Mitchell, formerly president, who will continue to oversee the company's Retail Group and also its operations in Canada. Taking over the title of president is Greg Thurman, heretofore head of acquisition and development for the Southeast states and based out of Atlanta.
In addition to the day-to-day duties of president, a source at Panattoni tells GlobeSt.com that Thurman retains his oversight of the Atlanta and Chicago markets. His oversight of other markets--Florida, Missouri and the Carolinas--will be spread among other partners. For example, Whitfield Hamilton, the regional partner for Tennessee, now also has responsibility for Florida and Missouri.
Panattoni is a privately held development company founded in 1986 by Carl Panattoni. Since 2000, the company has averaged nearly 10 million sf of development annually.
