LOS ANGELES-The AIR Commercial Real Estate Association has named I. Hassan, owner of downtown L.A.-based Quantum Associates, as the new president of the organization. Hassan succeeds Becky Blair, president of Long Beach-based Blair Commercial Real Estate Inc.
Hassan becomes the 38th president of the organization, which he announced now has a record 1,612 members throughout the five-county Los Angeles Basin. Hassan has been a member of AIR since 1987, and has served on the association's board of directors since 1998.
Joining Hassan as 2006 officers of AIR are current national SIOR President Stan Mullin of Grubb & Ellis in Newport Beach; Bart Reinhard, senior managing director for the Los Angeles Region of CB Richard Ellis; Douglas Earnhart, SVP at Lee & Associates in Ontario; and Chuck Noble, president of Lee & Associates in Orange.
As the chief executive of Quantum Associates, Hassan oversees a full-service real estate firm specializing in industrial properties in and around downtown Los Angeles' Fashion District, and extending to the Commerce and Vernon submarkets. The company represents tenants, buyers and investors.
Among its many programs and services, AIR provides specialized standard industrial and commercial lease forms and purchase order forms for industrial and office real estate. Its multiple listing service, called e-Multiple, is designed for cooperative marketing of industrial and office properties.
