TOPSFIELD, MA-A Chelmsford, MA educational center has paid $1.15 million for a 15,000-sf industrial building here. The Merrimack Education Center plans to turn the property into its administrative offices or possibly a school for its special education or professional development programs.

Micah Stubblebine with the Stubblebine Co. in Lexington, MA, tells GlobeSt.com that the center picked up the 248 Boston St. property in Topsfield in a deal with Woodland Realty Trust. "They were looking for property in the area but because there isn't a lot available in that market it took awhile to find the right building."

The property, located on four acres of land directly on Route 1, will be renovated by the buyer prior to occupancy, Stubblebine says. Greg Klemmer and Brad Yetman, both with Klemmer Associates, of Winchester, MA represented the seller, while Stubblebine handled the transaction for the buyer.
