The center, which is planned to ultimately span both sides of Sanderson Avenue on the north side of Esplanade Avenue, is in the heart of ongoing residential development on San Jacinto's west side. Leasing agents for the project are Walter Pagel andVanessa Brown of Grubb & Ellis.
Steve Delson, president of DBN, says that the project will include a variety of retail and restaurant tenants and will be designed as a local gathering spot. Phase I is pad users and shop space located on the east side of Sanderson Avenue and will include, a Walgreens drug store and shop space accommodatingtenants such as Starbucks, Quizno's and Jack In The Box. The center is slated to open this fall.
The anchor for the second phase of San Jacinto Esplanade is yet to be determined, but uses that DBN expects to attract include a supermarket, bank and/or a sit-down restaurant. The final phase of the project, on the western side of Sanderson, is slatedto break ground in late 2007 and will be located on nine acres directly across from Phase I. When complete, San Jacinto Esplanade will comprise nearly 200,000 sf of retail, dining and service tenants.
