2/28/06:If the business and economic model is truly becoming global, then Fortune magazine's recent article, "America's Most Admired Companies 2006," really sends the message home. The survey, conducted by Fortune's partner Hay Group, compiles information on 65 corporate industries by interviewing officers within each industry. This year's list is topped by GE, which is no surprise. The biggest surprise in the top 20 of "America's Most Admired Companies 2006," is the presence of Toyota Motors. And from what I understand, although Toyota has manufacturing plants in the US, it is certainly not an American company. In the long run, a truly unified global economy will benefit everyone. But until then, if Toyota wants to be considered American, I'm sure there are plenty of real estate professionals who would be more than happy to assist them in relocating their headquarters.
