Dave Besserer and R. Curtis Linn joined Bradford this week to head up the company's newest group, which represents corporate office tenants in both the Dallas-Fort Worth area and nationally, Kevin J. Santaularia, president and CEO of Bradford, tells GlobeSt.com. Santaularia says Besserer and Linn were good picks for the job since both have a strong history of multiple transactions as tenant representatives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
"It was an extremely good fit, not only because we have a good relationship, but because it will be good for Bradford's platform in growing the framework of a larger company," Santaularia says, adding that the creation of a Corporate Services Group will help round out Bradford's spectrum of services. Currently, the company provides project leasing, development, property management and investment services to a broad range of clients.
Santaularia says Besserer and Linn were looking to expand their platform of services when they signed on with Bradford. The fact that the pair teamed up at the company was no real surprise. Their work lives have run a parallel course since they entered the Dallas real estate market in the 1980s.
Besserer started his marketing career in Dallas on the landlord side with the Vantage Cos., where he met Santaularia. At the time Linn was beginning his career on the project side as an employee of both Murray Management and Merrill Lynch Commercial. The two later teamed up for more than 10 years, collaborating on deals at Fischer & Co. in Dallas before Besserer left to launch DMc Properties in early 2001. Two years later, Linn joined him at the firm until both moved to Bradford earlier this week.
"To be associated with a firm that has a broader reach and larger platform better suits our clientele, representing tenants both locally and nationally," Besserer says of the move. During their careers, both represented a number of high-profile clients, including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, the St. Paul, Dr. Pepper 7-UP/Cadbury Schweppes, North Central Texas Council of Governments, Fujitsu Micro Electronics and First Health.
