Brightcove's relocation left 8,767 sf available on the 215,385-sf tower's seventh floor, which was snatched up by Tagsys Rfid, a firm that provides tracking systems for businesses. "The pieces of this puzzle came together quickly," says David Townsend, part of the Cushman & Wakefield team that put together the lease deals. "Hewlett Packard no longer needed their space at One Cambridge Center, Brightcove needed expansion to accommodate their rapid growth and Tagsys sought a short-term, plug-and-play scenario to get their local headquarters started."

Terms of the leases were not disclosed. The transaction was handled for Brightcove and Hewlett Packard by Townsend, Mark Winters, and Juliette Reiter, all with Cushman & Wakefield's Boston office, while Roy Hirshland, with T3 Realty Advisors of Lexington, represented Tagsys Rfid. The building, part of a 2.7 million-sf urban center in Kendall square, is owned by Boston Properties.
